User Reviews for Capacities APP
Phenomenal content as a desktop app, bafflingly poor execution on mobile. As other reviews have stated, the app is woefully buggy. Every once in a while you’ll click a string of text to edit it and a word will just disappear; there are info buttons (the little circled “i” icon) that do nothing; If this was released as a “Read Only” version of one’s account it might be adequate, but the possibility of random data deletion as well as the app’s 100% lack of direction/info makes it almost unusable.

The best PKM i have ever seen! you can do so much in it and yet it feels personalized A huge shout out to the team of devs who made this! 👏🏻🫶🏻 The highlights for me are whatsapp connecting feature and it connects with my todoist too Never stop it, don’t give up on this idea, ive been trying to find the perfect for note taking and management for only me, this is the solution. Congratulations to the team, it still needs time to time updates and it surely will be mainstream for individuals❤️
Good concept overall. The delete function doesn’t consistently work. Was able to delete one item in notes but not the second item. After entering notes and items on a specific date, I needed to change the date but could not find a way to make the change. Does this function exist? Sharing has a concerning message that access is delayed 1 week bc someone shared inappropriate content?? Makes me concerned.
Capacities has been my go-to notetaking app for months at the time of writing this. It’s safe to say that this app is phenomenal. Its object-oriented notes and workspaces are amazingly implemented, it’s cross-platform, and it supports many programming languages’ syntax highlighting, which is perfect for any aspiring programmer such as myself. This app has been a staple of my everyday notetaking, and I can’t recommend it enough.
Great approach to note taking and knowledge management systems. I really like the app in general and having been using it as my primary knowledge base.
Really quite good. I’m on the cusp of deciding to use this to replace all my current note apps. Maybe after a little more testing. Maybe it’s worth a subscription. It’s a bit annoying that the mobile app doesn’t have the full functionality of PC desktop because that would really make it game changer! One of the principles of this type of app should be full mobility, so we can avoid being tethered to a desk.
I’m very impressed with this app so far. It works well on my phone and my desktop, and the free plan is more than adequate for my needs. I particularly appreciate the bi-directional links, the (local) graph view and that it’s free to sync across devices. Oh, and apparently you can work on it offline as well. No complaints from me.
An awesome program, now to wrap my head around the thought process. The stars are the easiest of old man usage… Lol
This is my new favorite app for notes, wikis, and personal knowledge management. It has powerful and flexible organization features. It utilizes links (internal and external [web]) beautifully. Not an app for people who like to keep things simple; rather a power user’s app. Can easily be used for journaling, as it has a built-in calendar and daily notes. UPDATE: I took away a star; It can be annoying when a bug comes up that wasn’t there before. Otherwise, I love this app.
Please make widget for the app. Like wuick task, notes, calender. Like in Amplenote
Dear Capacities, you had me when you not just advertised your wholesome proposition of ‘studio for mind’, but stood true to this capability by taking us on this journey with context and insightfulness. This reflects in your app. You have helped me put an end to my frustrations after each app I installed failed to serve a basic ‘topic oriented timeline based’ format for thought jotting! Thanks for providing the right balance of structure and flexibility. I look forward to this journey with you!
absolutely phenomenal notes and information collection!! So so many fantastic features, it has every feature that the competitors have, plus it has a bunch of unique benefits. The only downside is that it’s still got some quirks and bugs here and there and some suboptimal interface and usage designs. However, it’s being actively developed with a regular flow of updates and improvements, plus a road map with a lot of really great additions for the future
Capacities is very good but as an android application it’s very slow
Graph support is missing in android tablets.
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS. Free cloud sync. Cross Platform. Support Embedded Links, Images, etc. Connects with Telegram. Though the mobile app seems to be a little slow and laggy on my device. It would have been Nice to have more Themes. Specifically more dark like themes. The Code Block doesn’t “Word Wrap” on mobile but it does on PC. Also I can’t change the system font and color, I don’t mean the texts in blocks but rather the entire System Font. Still it’s a Great with Loads of free feature
Amazing system – I use it for everything! The calendar is helpful in storing all thoughts and ideas chronologically, while the onject-based allows for more intuitive interconnections. Anybody else have this bug in the mobile app though – when typing, every second hit takes you back to the top, while the next one takes you back down so the text is constantly jumping and you can never tell what you’re writing? Waiting for more reliability and more functions in the long run to give 5 stars 🙂
Excellent, but needs printing support. Limited functionality if cannot print the these notes/documents. The concepts appear to be very well thought out, but the documentation is rather confusing. Videos are not a substitute for actual user manuals. Will keep using this app and hope it improves.
Ita sinc with laptop and phone is good…..In many ways its like notion….but the table feathers are bot as good as NOTION……Notion is the best…..
Big supporter of Capacities but too many things have odd behaviours on the mobile app causing it to be unworkable.
Very promising, but much too unreliable for serious use. I’ll wait for a more mature version.
