I really wish I had had this plethora of information this app provides when I was forecasting for a living in the Navy oh so many years ago. And it’s all free!! The radar isn’t as fine granular as in some other apps, but it is world wide!! I didn’t eve know China had weather radar!! And when I was forecasting I didn’t have the access to all the different models that this app provides. This app is actually slightly better than the web-based app, which has a few frustrating glitches. Using this app, I was able to determine accurately that weren’t going to get snow or freezing rain this morning but rather a short period of ice pellets. I couldn’t have pulled it off with the tools that I had available to me 30 years ago.

I use it to track hurricanes. It has done well at keeping me informed.
Just updated, Radar+ (weather radar+satellite view) puff… gone. Wind view looks odd, wind has same direction as latitudes in some places. As most CCTV timestamps located on top of the screen, its quite frustrating to not be able to look at it as its tampered with Distance Taken Time label. Still an incredible app but could be better tho.
New ui is nice, only problem is it will not open on a Google tablet upgraded to the Android 14 beta. Worked great on the device with Android 13. Something about trying to add the radar widget to the screen. If you purge data and sign back in is ok.

Hello, I am a professional OTR/Long Haul driver. I really like your “Windy” app but I wish that you would layer into the app the major freeways/interstates in the United States. Without seeing the major freeways/interstates it makes using the app much more difficult for professional drivers. Because we need to know wind conditions on an ongoing basis this app would be invaluable to us but again, we need to see where the interstates are so we can quickly determine where we are in the app.
Nice interface, a lot of options, but the credibility of the numbers is dubious. We are sailing now, according to Windy the wind at the location is 5 kt, but the real value is at least 25, maybe even 30.
Great, BUT widgets settings for temperature in Celsius cannot be changed to Fahrenheit! Big bummer, too bad. otherwise, full featured app. lots of customization and reasonable to understand setting those up. good job.

OK, but could be better. Has basic wind direction and speed for planning trips. Does not maintain your current position or update ETA. No depth information for boating. The advertising suggests features that are just not there.
Professional Meteorologist Tools That anyone can use and understand. My experience with Windy has been amazing! I’m a storm spotter and I really like all the different features and models available.
I live remotely, offshore, and depend on Windy forecasts and modelling. Extremely valuable tool.
I like the detailed maps and forecasting seems much more accurate than other weather apps. Also no ads or endless prompts to buy something! Changing settings from Centigrade to Fahrenheit would be nice but can’t find how to access settings or preferences, though.
Reasonably reliable. But never perfect. It’s not a crystal ball 😁 I’ve noticed when popping out the side panel to change the data display, on my S21 the side panel will close by itself once tapping the screen on location, which is convenient, but on my Tab S7, I need to hit the X to close the panel manually as it won’t behave the same as the phone and as the screen is big, It’s less convenient.
The most user-friendly weather map system in existence. I use this app all the time, but especially love it for the ability to see weather patterns throughout a range of regions. The map allows me to see which areas around me have the best potential for the wind. However, it is not at all limited to wind readings. All other weather features are useful for anyone. My only complaint is that the forecasted wind gusts tend to be missleadingly high. Otherwise the accuracy is good.
Current weather information is excellent, forecasts as reliable as anyone else (not very).
Premium user here. Love the app.. but within the last several months the widgits on both my phone and tablet are broken. They are blank black screens. I wish they were working like they used to!
Best weather app there is. May look complex at first sight, but so does anything that covers as much information accurately. I do mean accurately. I drive a high profile vehicle and it is important for me to know when and where to get off the road. This app has saved my hide numerous times. Compared to other wind and weather apps Windy is at the forefront of what they should be. Informative, accurate, and reliable.
