User Reviews for Tribit APP
Tribit Stormbox Micro (1st Gen) lacks a EQ and app support compared to it’s upgraded Brother Tribit Stormbox Micro 2. While I love the fact that this tiny speaker has as much power that it does at 9watts with a good frequency range playing down to 70hz which is outstanding for a speaker this size, . Moral of the story it lacks app support and app support and a EQ would make this speaker a 10/10 also a 3rd Gen with let’s say 15-25watts playing down to 50hz would be epic Tribit if you’re listenin

my tribit stormbox 2 is already connected to my phone Bluetooth. but the app cannot connect to my device
Stormbox Blast shows volume light indicator after most recent update to new firmware. It took a long time to get back the feature. Happy with the sound for the cost. I appreciate the constant improvement to the app and updates to firmware. Good options for equalizer. Cool box with decent sound
the update is very bad
UPDATE: 4 star – The login requirement isn’t gone, but I’m being asked to log in much less after a recent update. A welcome improvement! ORIGINAL: 1 star – Requires login for every use. If the server is down, hardware customization is locked as a result. It’s a good app if the login requirement goes away.
All is fine. Everything’s works well… Except… Except the On and Off sound. Can we change it? Sounds cheap… Hehe he. But sound 5star!!!
This app leaves much to be disired. It (the speaker) could have a battery level using the lights whether during the charging process or during playback. The app can take some getting used to. However I am going to up my star rating from 1 to something higher.
I have a StormBox Micro 2. The performance exceeds my expectations as does the solid build quality. This app is useful and works on my Pixel 8a perfectly. I purchased it for a bit of music in my garage but now it gets used around the house and garden.
Edit: After the developer’s response, I did some research. I found that it is Android that requires precise location permissions to scan for Bluetooth devices. It isn’t the Tribit app that arbitrarily decided this. So I adjusted my rating because the issue I had is with Android, not Tribit.
First when we were hearing songs the sound and the bass is not good.but when we modified the epualizer with this app. The sound and the bass became the best
Considering many companies don’t even have an option for using an app, this is a welcomed surprise. I bought my Fly Buds used not even knowing there was an app. Most All the reviews on YouTube or online don’t mention an app.. because there wasn’t one available when released. There are quite a few options for presets and you can tell the difference between most of them. Of the six sets of earbuds I own, these have the longest battery life. No need for changes to controls.
App is good but logging in every time is very, very annoying when messing around with the equalizers I set up, editing one, going to another, them not saving because after editing one I have to close the app and log in again… At the moment somewhat disappointed Rating of 2.5/5 stars
the app should show the list of the songs you’re playing so that you don’t need to switch back to the music player of your phone. tribit is way better than some famous brands in the market, cheaper but quality and value for money.
The app is fine but i use it for xsound go (bts38) Issue when i disconnect the device from the speaker it makes a “disssssss” voice sound its realy annoying..first i thaught i got the defective piece i replaced from amazon still tge same sound fix tge issue with firmware update …it feels like devloper tried to overwrite the voice “disconnected” but it worked half
Excellent sound and easy high functioning app. Samsung 21Ultra 5g w/FlyBud3: superior sound, easy to use, short learning curve, great equalizer with customizable presets(I needed that for my ears). Had $200 Jabra buds and app. previously. I’m not sure what more you would need from the app. Hearing things in the music I’ve never heard before.
Edit 08JUN20: Okay Dev. I’ll try as advised. But the app doesn’t support my galaxy j7 pro. I cannot download tribit app from playstore on my J7 pro. Works well on my z Fold 3. But I cannot connect my tribit micro2 to my galaxy J7 pro – android 9 (i use this phone during e scooter rides)
was able to connect my Xsound Go easily. the EQ actually helps. Could do with a mute button though. Please see if it can be introduced.
excellent tribit App
I’m using Tribit Sormbox Blast. I usually listen to any kind of Rock. Sometimes the prrrset settings didn’t get the songs. So, letting users making owncustomized EQ is quite helpful to our desirable settings. I’m so pleased with both the speaker’s sound quality along with the App.
Why does the app require location access just to add bluetooth devices? Very suspicious and I’m not gonna use it. EDIT: Tribit’s answer may sound weird, but it actually seems that Android puts certain services under “location” that are needed here, so it seems legit. Changed it from 1 star to 3, because the app supports only 4 products at this time and mine isn’t among it, so I can’t really test its functionality. The UI looks promising, though.
Very simple to use, and fast. But I would like to see more preset EQ genre settings – it comes with only jazz, rock and audio book as presets.
