User Reviews for Spck Code Editor / Git Client APP

Like the idea of this app but would be nice to hide some of the menues like the labs so it can be less distracting. A setting where u can disable each of them like, Labs, Discover, Account, and Source Control. This way the app can be more focused with the coding aspect. Plus…. There needs to be an option to edit files in the local folder on your device and not just copy from a location to import the files. I been using ACode for years for this reason but I love the more modern look of SPCK <3

A good app. Works as expected. Autocompletion is good. Many nice features. The ability to merge branches would be nice.

Lifesaver. This is a step above from pydroid or any other coding platform on the google play store. This can be used on small to large scale but beware that there is no auto typing. Recommend it if you want a good platform that is free (mostly).

best code editor i’ve ever used on mobile. no annoying ads, no paywalls for features, and the interface is visually appealing and beginner friendly. many thanks to the developers! it would be even better if you could add the ability to run python files, just like html, css, and js.

I’m very surprised by just how close to coding on a desktop this is. Ok, that’s partly due to that fact that I’m using it on an S7 Galaxy tab with keyboard and mouse, but still this dedicated JS editor/git client and built-in test server is a joy to use. I only wish it had more of the features of sublimetext, as I’ve used that almost exclusively for the past few years, and without the minimap and multiple line selection, I can’t abandon the desktop/laptop/windows environment just yet.

Looks really useful and it is but why has it got to be so hard and confusing to mess around with my files/folders. After just downloading it there was a preinstalled project which I want to get rid of but there is no clear delete button. The worse part is having to move newly created files out of it which I just can’t find where to click. Please make the controls clear and straight to the point with obvious delete, copy and pasting icons.

I will rate it five stars if you add a feature to select an app to run the code. Like if could select pydroid to run python file.

The best app for coding in mobile my only issue is that it does not support coding a backend , I really hope it does in the near future

This app is really great, but You can only edit the projects you made throught the app and you can not edit the files in local storage. If your making a php project that needed databases follow this steps. 1 edit/create the poject you want to use. 2 install the zip file of your project. 3. Unzip your project to your server directory, example your running a localhost, unzip the file, rename it to htdocs(make sure its in the server directory), and done.

Be aware that this editor manages files by making its own copy of the files into its dedicated folder, instead of editing the files in place. This design would work fine if this editor is used standalone, but it forbids the use of other apps on the same project (for example, a more feature-complete git manager, or a specific language compiler with Termux). This is unfortunate, because the coding experience itself is very nice and close to VSCode, and without ads to boot.
