User Reviews for Sound Meter APP
SO FAR I like this sound meter, however I have to run it next to my Amprobe SM-20(ANALOG) and my Fluke-945 (DIGITAL) to check its authenticity as relevant to reliability! In regards to ADS in the app, any ad is disruptive but these are really not in anyones way, but yes there are ads! What I REALLY DON’T LIKE in this tool is icons that lead me into other apps (compass, vibration meter) that I REALLY DON’T want added in my sound meter app!! BUT, I do like having this sound meter tool in my phone, that way as a professional audio engineer and drummer I always have a sound meter with me!!!😁

Free, well designed, and has decently accurate readings with support for calibration. The only drawback is ads (but can be fixed with custom DNS).
Nice and helpful
it’s good among the other alternatives but it could have been better in terms of sensitivity it catches a bit late and does not we change the frequency it suddenly loses it and comes to 30 it would remain 30 to40 and when you produce last about sound then it goes above 60 otherwise between 30 to 60 keeps rotating so I would require some additional updates from the company itself and put look for a better sound metre I am waiting this app 3star and I would definitely rate 5 star in the new update
Seems to work well, ads are not intrusive into the UX. Was using to see how loud a blower fan was when drying my kitchen so it was exposed and tracked from 30Db to 80+Db.
serves the purpose.
good quick indicator of noise levels
Works very well, shame about temu ads but that’s only normal….
Hard to improve it,. . . but would be nice to record the graph to memory… and be able to make notations on the highs and lows
Exactly what I needed. For some online classes, I needed to check my background noise level. The sound level descriptions were much more meaningful for me than just numbers. The live graph was also helpful, to get a sense of how common noises might affect the audio too. I wanted to make sure I was respectful of others in the class, and now I have better confidence in that.
Best one this
I use the meter for comparative purposes. I don’t understand the microphone calibration. I like the app for what it does for me.
Works great with one BIG exception: it maxes out around 88 db. This is even when I know the level is exceeding 100 db. (As verified by a real audio meter) The main reason I downloaded this app was to check the actual levels in my car for example and in factories with excessive noise levels. Up to around 84 db it appears reasonably accurate.

no setting for integration time
Very handy for SPL measurements in my music room
this works..helped me find where there was the least noise of which all the appliances and machines outside make a constant steady racket…I feel sorry for babies, the elderly and folks unconscious and incapacitated that are subjected to all this ambiance annoying noise. there is bad grammar in the directions yet it worked for me.
Simple CSV exporting logs would be great to have.
Excellent application. Stable and easy to work. Measures sorrownding sound levels so you can determine if you neighbors are a bunch of wild animals screaming in the night.
I can see a very limited possible use for this but it’s typically covered when using other audio tools in a much more useful format. I noticed that most of these aren’t even close to the numbers posted, I’ll increase volume by a huge amount but only see a small change overall in readings. Yes I’m using a calibrated mic. Calibrated mics aren’t much better than a new cheap phone mic anyway, $25 Blu phone has a better mic than my $25 Dayton calibrated mic!
Good joo
