User Reviews for Screen Orientation Control APP
Just installed and it seems to work, although I haven’t tried it with lots of apps. It allows you to select 5 controls (from a selection of eleven) to have in a control bar (also available on a widget). Of course, I would like to have 6: one for each orientation, one for full sensor mode and one to follow device default orientation. Alternatively, the portrait and reverse portrait functions could be combined into a single toggle portrait control and the same for the two landscape functions, allowing me my 6 functions in 4 buttons. The 5 other options available in the app are ‘sensor port'[rait] (i.e. will switch automatically between just the two portrait orientations), ‘sensor land'[scape], ‘lie left’, ‘lie right’ and ‘headstand’. I think the last three are to control orientation when the phone is lying flat. If you think the control bar looks ugly, you can adjust background and icon colour for both the active control and the inactive controls. This affects both the in-app control bar and the widget. There are ads but, as far as I can see, they are only in-app and once it is configured, the widget should suffice. I would like options for the app to activate automatically when headphones or charger are plugged in, as that is when I am most likely to want the reverse portrait mode. Also, as my homescreen does not do well in landscape, an option to leave the homescreen alone might be useful. If these are implemented, if I get my 6th function on the bar and if the app remains stable, then it would get 5 stars from me.

Glorious, exactly what I needed. Ui 7 has broken this app on Samsung flip 3, it works but crashes very regularly and has to be reopened. No stars taken off, not your fault, hopefully fixed soon
Works more often than not, really annoying when it does not.
very very simple and effective
I just started using the app. I’ll let you know.
The best! Controlling each app separately is essential because some apps don’t rotate well. Now I set the most useful control, just one time, for each of those finicky apps and no longer have to fiddle with orientation settings. Set Camera to ‘unspecified’ and it works as usual, unlike in other orientation apps. Thanks!
EDIT: After Dec 24, 2022 update, no longer does revese portrait! Probably not the devastating fault, but regardless, I can’t have reverse portrait anymore, which I relied upon while having my phone docked at my desk.
Problem with screen gestures. When going to home using gestures everything dissappears and I am froce to turn it to a different orientation to fix it. A fix would be nice, sorta annoying.
[PRO] Open source. Works pretty fine. Dead simple [CON] Unclear rotation icons (need to try them to know what they does), no tile integration, fckng ads (would be a 4/5 without them – I really hate ads)
Nice 👍
Works great, although it turns off has to be turned back on quite a bit (but not while the phone is in use).
100% worth 5 start. my phone was stuck rotated to to landscape by default on my home screen for some unknown reason. This app fixed it. It also adds the functionality of full rotation I can have the phone upside down if I like and it will orient properly in auto rotation mode, which is locked out natively, thats been helpful for meetings ampng other things. And it’s free, without crazy overbearing ads. I’d give 10 stars if I could.
Just what I was looking for for my live shows. Never encountered a problem while using it. Keep up the good work!
Nice app, shame about the privacy. So you go to the privacy policy and I kid you not there must be 50 check boxes to opt out of data gathering. It’s an app that rotates your screen. Stop this stupid practise.
Works perfectly. This app gives you full control over your screen rotation, and unlocks more options than Android usually allows. 10/10 ✅ 🌟
works great
Awesome. It can force all apps to respect sensor orientation even if they are supposed to always launch in portrait. 👏 Thanks a lot to the dev! 💯 It would be nice if there was an “Orientation changed. Do you want to adjust?” button.
i have apps that wont rotate itself but then i installed this app and boom!! all of my apps are magically in lanscape now!!! thank u so much for making such an amazing app!! i am realley grateful!!
Very good, but misses a “sensor but vertical flip only” to use when the usb is plugged, for phones where the port is on the bottom
It works well. I wish there was a paid version so I don’t have to worry about my data. Sometimes it will just stopped working in the middle of the night so that when I wake up in the morning I have to restart the app which is a bit annoying
Not too shabby at all. Would be nice if the start/stop button was on the widget bar though, instead of the more options button taking you to the app screen. But I’m still quite pleased with the app. Only 4 stars, but 2 thumbs up.
