User Reviews for My Aurora Forecast & Alerts APP

Nice interface. Anssuming it’s accurate in real time, It may be useful although it’s never been clear when auroras were happening where I am so I can’t say for sure. Map is nice, though chunky. The forecasts – meh. I keep an eye on space weather and when there’s a CME the app’s predictions of activity lag way behind. And the long term forecast seems wildly unrealistic (no one knows when a sunspot is going to explode a week or two from now,) and doesn’t seem to have any connection with reality.

Provides great info, but I do have some suggestions that would make the app a lot more useful, which mostly surrounds notifications: -have custom notifications, where you can choose the parameters for when you’ll get notified of possibly seeing an aurora. The app tells what the cloud coverage is; it doesn’t matter how high the KP is, if it’s cloudy it’s not worth me getting out of bed to check out. -also have your minimum KP option so I’m not receiving notifications for 15% chance. -dark mode

It is not giving me notifications anymore. And installed reinstalled and then had to unclick don’t notify me in the summer what’s the point of installing the app when you can’t see anything please let somebody make that decision for themselves after they installed the app I am not getting any notifications I did not proof you read this it’s messed up sorry

great app. but why does this use more mobile data in the background than so many other apps?

I used this app a lot in Finland, everything was great. After last updating it stopped working correctly: doesn’t show viewing probability, cloud coverage and Aurora map doesn’t show my current location. Maybe because I moved from Finland back to Russia (but before the updation it worked). I hope you will fix it, because the app is really cool! P.s. I hope you don’t have any restrictions for russian regions, like in other apps

Reliable and easy to use. I’ve seen Northern lights twice since I downloaded the app, both times thanks to the notification!
