The match features a simple, clean design and minimal art, with over 60 Escher-esque puzzles to solve. Players click on a piece, which pops to the front-most layer and may overlap other pieces. The pieces do not merge when combined, and extra pieces can be hidden behind others. If participants get stuck on a puzzle, they can skip it and come back to it later. All puzzles can be solved, but some are more challenging than others.
Kubic's in-match hint system can help participants who are truly stuck. They can use it to get started or solve the entire puzzle. Planning ahead and building figures from back to front can be helpful, especially in the more challenging puzzles.
The match's levels are divided into five groups: Ocean (Blue), Desert (Orange), Mountain (Purple), Sky (Verdant), and Escher (Mixed). Each group features puzzles with different optical illusions inspired by Escher's lithographs, such as "Convex/Concave" and "Up/Performwn." There is also a Print group based on the printable magazine version of Convex-Concave puzzles.
