The match board consists of three peaks, a stock, and a waste pile. The objective is to move all cards from the peaks onto the waste pile by matching cards that are one rank higher or lower than the topmost card on the waste pile. The match is won by moving all cards to the waste pile and is lost when no more moves are possible. The tally is based on the number of cards left at the end and the fewest moves made to triumph. The match is said to be solvable in over 90% of all dealt matchs.
