To begin, participants are seated facing each other and given a card that either states their location or reveals that they are the spy. The spy's objective is to guess the location without getting caught by the other participants. They must ask leading questions about the location to prevent others from identifying them as the spy. On the other hand, other participants know the location but do not know who the spy is. Their task is to ask questions about the location that might reveal the spy's identity.
If the match has a timer, it will end when the time runs out. Players triumph if they identify the spy. Conversely, if the spy guesses the location correctly, they triumph the match.
When there is no timer, the match ends after all participants have had a chance to ask questions in a circle.
