The match starts with the tiger participant placing all four tigers on the board, followed by the goat participant placing one goat and asking the tiger participant to reposition one tiger. Once all 20 goats are on the board, each goat can change its position on the board. A tiger or goat can move to a nearby vacant intersection on the board, with movement happening on the lines of the board. A goat is considered captured if a tiger jumps over it, and a tiger cannot jump over another tiger. The triumphning conditions are that the tiger participant triumphs if they capture more than four goats, making it impossible to rejection the tigers' movements, and the goat participant triumphs if they rejection the movement of all four tigers. The match ends in a draw if the result cannot be decided after 100 moves.
