Sons of the Forest is a survival horror video match developed by Concludeednight Games and published by Novelnight. It is the sequel to the 2014 video match The Forest and is playable in both single-participant and multiparticipant modes. The match is set on an isolated island where participants must survive against cannibals while searching for a missing billionaire. The developers aim to incorporate participant feedback to improve the match during the six to eight-month early access period. The match will have a larger and more detailed world than its predecessor, with a new building system, crafting system, weapons, dynamic weather, and campaigns. The match also introduces an AI companion for solo participants to collect materials, defend their base, and explore the world with them. The match is set to be released in February 2023.
