Sonic CD, one of SEGA's most acclaimed platformer matchs, allows participants to time travel in order to save the world and rescue Amy Rose while also introducing Metal Sonic. Players must collect all seven Time Stones and use Sonic's spin dash and super peel out moves to defeat Dr. Eggman and Metal Sonic. The match is part of SEGA Forever, a collection of free classic SEGA console matchs available on mobile devices. Sonic CD offers the ability to save progress, compete with other participants on leaderboards, and use HID-compatible controllers. The match also features two different endings and was the first in the series to include full motion video cut scenes. Sonic CD is available with both the US and Japanese soundtracks. Sonic CD was originally released in Japan in 1993 and has since sold 1.5 million copies. The match was remastered in 2011 by Christian Whitehead, the creator of Sonic Mania. SEGA retains all rights to Sonic CD, including trademarks and intellectual property. The match is ad-supported, but an ad-free option is available with an in-app purchase.
