The "Opal Travel" app is the official app for managing public transport travel in Sydney and surrounding regions. Available on Android devices, it can be used with both registered and unregistered Opal cards. With this app, you can plan trips, view and top up your Opal balance, register your Opal card or credit/debit card, view travel history and transactions, set up automatic balance top-ups, report a lost or stolen Opal card, get location-based alerts, and receive notifications about delays and disruptions. The app also allows you to scan your Opal card with your device (compatible NFC-enabled Android devices only) and see Opal retailer locations on a map. "Opal Travel" is designed for use with Adult, Child/Youth, Concession and Senior/Pensioner Opal cards, and American Express, MasterCard and Visa only. However, it is not compatible with rooted (jailbroken) Android devices.
