The University of Tarapacá San Miguel de Azapa museum has implemented an immersive experience for visitors to explore the Chinchorro Deposit through a 360-degree multimedia application. This initiative aims to promote and conserve the Chinchorro culture, the oldest artificial mummification process in the world. The application allows visitors to see the mummies as if they were beside them and learn about each one's history and cultural significance. The manual mode is recommended for most devices, while the cardboard mode allows for a more immersive experience using a VR helmet or glasses. The project is a collaboration between the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage, the University of Tarapacá, the Museum of the University of Tarapacá San Miguel de Azapa, and Qiri - Entrepreneurs in Cultural Heritage.
