SUNCROPS Ltd. designed and developed an online Train Information platform for Bangladesh Railway, with features such as train searching, fare calculation, train tracking, routing on map, aradversary alerts, lost and found, and emergency medical attention. Ticketing and freight booking options will be available in the future.
The Train Tracking and Monitoring System, called "BR Discoverr," was created to help Bangladesh Railway manage its entire train fleet in real time. It is a GIS-based application with its own intranet network and vector map of BR assets. The system was developed from scratch and SUNCROPS Ltd. won the project through an open tender in 2013. The system is being operated and managed by a squad of 20 SUNCROPS Engineers 24x7.
