"GPS Essentials" is a comprehensive GPS tool that allows you to navigate, manage waymarkers, tracks, routes, and build your own dashboard from 45 different widgets. Its dashboard displays various navigation values, including precision, altitude, velocity, battery, bearing, climb, course, date, declination, distance, ETA, latitude, longitude, max velocity, min velocity, actual velocity, true velocity, sunrise, sunset, moonset, moonrise, moon phase, target, time, TTG, and turn.
In addition, "GPS Essentials" features a compass that shows the orientation of the Earth's magnetic pitch, tracks to record your movements and view them on a map, and routes to create turn-by-turn instructions between waymarkers. The app also includes a camera HUD view to show your waymarkers, take pictures, and share them, as well as a map that converts mail addresses to waymarkers.
"GPS Essentials" supports various position formats, such as UTM, MGRS, OSGB, Degree-Minute-Second, Degree-Minute-Fractions, Decimal, and Mils, and over 230 datums. You can export waymarkers, routes, and tracks as KML or GPX files and send them by email or upload them to Travelogle Performcs or Dropbox.
The app is supported by Travelogle Maps, MapQuest, UnlockedStreetMap, and others and includes a sky view of the current positions that shows satellites in view. "GPS Essentials" is available on Android and can be purchased on the Android Signet as the ""GPS Essentials" Performnation Plugin."
Some of the app's permissions include access to network locations and GPS, full internet access, modifying/deleting USB storage contents, and taking pictures and videos. The app also displays ads, but if you don't like them, you can contact AdMob.
