I agree with Withkeys Quilkert. “It does what it does best. Access to the router configuration through the cloud as well as locally on network in an easy GUI. However, more needs to be done to secure access to it besides just a password for cloud account. They need to allow multi-factor authentication and track logins to the cloud account. Until they address that, I do not recommend allowing the wifi router access over the cloud. Once password is compromised, it gives unauthorized users access.

the app has all the good feature but it lacks the faeture to allocate a specific data amount for esch connected devices. if you give a little twist to your app, pls have this feature.
Can’t really complain about anything, it does everything it’s supposed to do and it’s being improved constantly unlike some competitors. Only suggestion is to add a dark theme please, I hate the flashbang I get when I open the app at night to turn off the router lights because they keep turning back due to the scheduled restart.
Limited functionality compared to web interface. Randomly loses connection for no apparent reason.
I usually hate consumer router apps, but TP-Link did a good job keeping this one pretty clean. Not ads infested, doesn’t constantly offer you upsales (they’re in there, but it lets you choose to approach it). It doesn’t seem to be loaded with trackers besides the standard useage one that almost every playstore app has, so that’s fair. It’s not exciting but thats not bad in this case I guess. Only ASUS has it bested in my opinion.

Quick smooth.
Simple and clear to follow instructions and more than anything, it just WORKS! No crushs no confusion errors. Not great achievement if you have great hardware with questionable software. This is not the case. It is VERY GOOD!
Nov 2023 much improved. Really like the ability to show devices by frequency(2.4, 5 or 6 and still have them in alphabetic order. Still needs to allow clients to to be sorted by by router device IP4 AND IP6 address. Still need few more Icons. Smart Assistant, VOIP device, Camera NVR. Be nice to have ability to define address reservation and port forwarding in this app.

no internet access
Useful in some aspects, but not all. If you need to get into the router to change NAT settings, and some other intricacies you have to type the regular router IP and get in using a browser, the app only gives you so much functionality. But it does help on simplistic alterations, I do like that you can check who’s hooked to your router through the app, see what devices are on it that maybe they shouldn’t be.
It’s a very easy and helpful apps.

Wonderful high speed connection able to switch between 2.4ghz or 5ghz excellent for when I’m not using one device or can keep my devices on the higher connection and when company comes over they can be on the lower connection. With multiple devices on it though it does run slow had to extend out the wifi
Extender works great. Easy to set up. However, I like features. App has a setting under tools. One feature is control LEDs. In other words you set a time for LED to go off and on. Great if you have extender in bedroom. Have not been able to get that feature to work. Probably send unit back and try another one. Would have been 5 stars if that feature would work.
So far, so good. I cant say that I have found good documentation, but the majority of the app is self-explanatory if you understand networking and interfaces. One can Google the rest.

Good product but can sometimes drop signal the things run slower
I rarely write app reviews but the Tether app deserves one. It is hands down one of the most useful network app I’ve ever come across. I’ve 3 TP link routers at 2 apartments and a office, this app simplifies the router management and setup. If you have a TP link router then this app is a must.
