WPSApp

The "WPSApp" is a simple app that checks your network security using the WPS protocol. This protocol allows you to connect to a WiFi network using an 8-digit pin number. However, the pins of many routers from different companies are known or can be calculated, making the network vulnerable to intruders.

The "WPSApp" uses these pins to test the connection and check if the network is vulnerable. It also implements known algorithms for pin generation and some default pins. In addition, it can calculate default keys for some routers, view WiFi passwords stored on the device, scan devices connected to your network, and analyze the quality of the WiFi channels.

When scanning networks, those with a red cross are secure, meaning they have disabled the WPS protocol and the default password is unknown. Those with a question mark have enabled the WPS protocol, but the pin is unknown. In this case, the app allows you to test the most common pins. Finally, those with a green tick are most likely vulnerable, meaning they have the WPS protocol enabled and the connection pin is known.

It is important to note that not all networks are vulnerable, and the appearance of vulnerability does not guarantee that it is. Several companies have updated their router firmware to correct the fault.

To use this app, you need to be a Root user on Android 9/10 and for some extra function. Note that from Android 6 (Marshmallow), you must grant location permissions, which is a new requirement added by Travelogle in this version.

If you are vulnerable, it is recommended to turn off WPS and change your password to a strong and personalized one. Intrusion into foreign networks is punishable by law.
