SetEdit is an Android app that allows direct access to the Android settings database. However, the app comes with a warning that improper use of this utility can lead to irreversible problems, and they do not provide support for such issues. By default, Android prevents modification of the SECURE and GLOBAL tables for the user's protection. Users can remove this protection on an ADB shell using a specific command for Android Jellybean or later versions. However, earlier versions require users to root their devices to remove this protection. SetEdit's functionality is not affected by the "check for update" warning in Android Q and later versions.
