User Reviews for Sound Meter APP

SO FAR I like this sound meter, however I have to run it next to my Amprobe SM-20(ANALOG) and my Fluke-945 (DIGITAL) to check its authenticity as relevant to reliability! In regards to ADS in the app, any ad is disruptive but these are really not in anyones way, but yes there are ads! What I REALLY DON’T LIKE in this tool is icons that lead me into other apps (compass, vibration meter) that I REALLY DON’T want added in my sound meter app!! BUT, I do like having this sound meter tool in my phone, that way as a professional audio engineer and drummer I always have a sound meter with me!!!😁

I compared the app to an industrial sound meter. The single-value calibration is too simplistic. At least two calibration points are needed. Decibels are an exponential scale, so three or four points would allow calibration of the extreme curve at different sound levels.

it works. I haven’t checked the accuracy but the readings appear to be good.

Very useful! Though I haven’t checked the reading accuracy (though it states very clearly that it’s not a perfect dB reader). I would like to measure sound levels with the screen off, and without it ruining the lowest recorded dB level. I would also love to be able to make and export basic logs of results. …Thanks for a great app!

Best app for decibel counting meter. This app didn’t have ads spam that most of the simple app does. Highly recommend. It also has the decibel guide for information

Absolutely good app. I used in on my factory shop floor and thanks to the app, I gave all my employees ear plugs. Now everyone is HAPPY.

It’s easy to use and has a very clear display. It would be nice if it had some way of saving the readings, for example a screen shot capability. The developer notes that Android devices limit maximum values and that sounds over ~90dB may not be recognized, important to know.

It is a good app but it would be better to be able to record it… I would be able to record while i sleep and realize how loud i snort

Does the job. Needs a lanscape orientation layout.

Very accurate. I did one of the tractors and it read 75 – 85db in cab as per specifications. I’m going to use it at the cinema next time I’m at a noisy flick. It used to leave a coloured dot showing the highest decibel but since the last review they’ve removed that. When something is working to perfection, leave it alone. This lot would try to better the wheel.

used to think this was the best decibelometer app out there now the latest update makes all the buttons such as the contrast button and reset button for example, unpressable. you have to touch it in a very particular place and even then probably 3 or 4 times before it registers your input. change that, and I’ll bring my rating up to 5

This isn’t a bad application, the advertisements can be a little distracting but this appears to be a pretty good, solid program
