SO FAR I like this sound meter, however I have to run it next to my Amprobe SM-20(ANALOG) and my Fluke-945 (DIGITAL) to check its authenticity as relevant to reliability! In regards to ADS in the app, any ad is disruptive but these are really not in anyones way, but yes there are ads! What I REALLY DON’T LIKE in this tool is icons that lead me into other apps (compass, vibration meter) that I REALLY DON’T want added in my sound meter app!! BUT, I do like having this sound meter tool in my phone, that way as a professional audio engineer and drummer I always have a sound meter with me!!!😁

    This is the only sound monitoring app I use on any phone. Others seem like they “adjust” to the level of sound, and even if I add noise they’ll stay around 40-50db. This is the only one that doesn’t seem to do that, and it will show me the peaks which seem to be quite accurate. This will definitely help protect you from hearing damage. Plus, the UI is the best I’ve seen; nice, basic, and easy to read quickly.

    seems okay except that the calibration is probably wrong, the sound I was measuring was coming in low mid 70s when it should have been low 90s. tried calib but wouldn’t go high enough to measure test at 90+- should be “A weighting”. the interface looks nice but I cannot trust it because of this calibration issue.

    I use this in my wood shop to monitor noise levels since I up at 230am, I do not want to annoy neighbors. it would be nice in the next update to allow more than 30 seconds of display and allow to save measurements over time for comparison. but for a free app it’s good and I recommend.

    interruption ads get uninistal, most apps. there is a degree of precision, ++ to programming team. Local DB laws section will get your app a 4, maybe 5 star. user entry. calibration will get a five star. advertisement bar is fine.

    Great implementation of a fantastic idea. Would be good to see lyrics of songs if noise is music so you can see which part of the song is registering.. perhaps with the word being sung highlited as it is sung . But that’ll probably be taxing on the processing power. It would make an excellent marker for what instantaneous sound is actually being shown on the metre.

    Analog, digital, and graphic displays all together, very usable. Instructions in broken English, a little hard to parse. Notes meter accuracy dependent on the phone like. Does not suggest how bad, and no suggestions for calibration. If cap is important, need suggestions for non-professional users.

    Does exactly what you need. Very accurate considering it uses your phone microphone. Ads are so minimal they just give you an option to watch an ad rather then it pop up and block your whole screen. I find my self watching the optional ads to help them out.
