SO FAR I like this sound meter, however I have to run it next to my Amprobe SM-20(ANALOG) and my Fluke-945 (DIGITAL) to check its authenticity as relevant to reliability! In regards to ADS in the app, any ad is disruptive but these are really not in anyones way, but yes there are ads! What I REALLY DON’T LIKE in this tool is icons that lead me into other apps (compass, vibration meter) that I REALLY DON’T want added in my sound meter app!! BUT, I do like having this sound meter tool in my phone, that way as a professional audio engineer and drummer I always have a sound meter with me!!!😁

    Useful app which can quickly tell you the current noise level in your environment. -1 star because I’m missing some information or functionality which tells me / checks if the microphone of my device is calibrated correctly. Sometimes I feel like the noise level seems too high.

    It needs a way to tare or zero out constant background noise like fans so that they do not affect the average. Also would be nice have a larger stop vs on setting so that conversation can take place between captures of the sound. There is a reset function, but the button is tiny on a phone.

    Very nice, middle of the road app with good graphics and easy to control. I don’t see any ads. It serves my occasional needs very well although a person in the audio business might need something that provides more depth. I don’t know what it might be but these people have made me quite happy!

    Need more graph /dB data display control. Adjust scale and duration. Possibly have a data collection option for longer review in a spreadsheet at a later time. Add ability to insert comments into data collection. Use long data collection to analyze sleeping and snorimg overnight.

    I think it’s so cool. Last night I was in a very noisy but upscale restaurant. It was hard to have a conversation. So I took out my phone and opened this app. It was reading about 80 decibels! My only complaint is that there are no instructions on how exactly to calibrate this. I see the numerical reading and then I’m supposed to plus or minus a number. What number? And where do I go to do this calibration? An absolutely quit place like a closet?If you post the instructions in the app I will give a 5 star rating.

    Awesome app !!! I was considering buying a sound level meter to measure the noise of my motorcycle exhausts and horns… Many of the reviews mentioned that a simple app on your phone was more accurate, so I figured it was worth a try…..very happy with the way this works …..I also downloaded their digital compass and it’s so much better than the last one that I tried it’s hard to believe how much better it is… !!!
