User Reviews for Screen Orientation Control APP
Just installed and it seems to work, although I haven’t tried it with lots of apps. It allows you to select 5 controls (from a selection of eleven) to have in a control bar (also available on a widget). Of course, I would like to have 6: one for each orientation, one for full sensor mode and one to follow device default orientation. Alternatively, the portrait and reverse portrait functions could be combined into a single toggle portrait control and the same for the two landscape functions, allowing me my 6 functions in 4 buttons. The 5 other options available in the app are ‘sensor port'[rait] (i.e. will switch automatically between just the two portrait orientations), ‘sensor land'[scape], ‘lie left’, ‘lie right’ and ‘headstand’. I think the last three are to control orientation when the phone is lying flat. If you think the control bar looks ugly, you can adjust background and icon colour for both the active control and the inactive controls. This affects both the in-app control bar and the widget. There are ads but, as far as I can see, they are only in-app and once it is configured, the widget should suffice. I would like options for the app to activate automatically when headphones or charger are plugged in, as that is when I am most likely to want the reverse portrait mode. Also, as my homescreen does not do well in landscape, an option to leave the homescreen alone might be useful. If these are implemented, if I get my 6th function on the bar and if the app remains stable, then it would get 5 stars from me.

4-WAY CROSS IS VERY HELPFUL, QUICKLY RESPONDS FRUSTRATION FREE, SO FAR. THANK YA’LL
I have a Samsung Tab S8 with Android 14 and the latest One UI 6.1. More recently, I found the orientation control works on apps designed for portrait viewing, so I’ve not needed to use this app for some time. Today, I did use an app that refused to go into landscape mode. This app did its thing, which was very pleasing.
Honestly really like the app, much better than auto rotate, would be nice if they had a button on screen that allowed you to switch though, overall a good app.
I am satisfied with this app…

it works as advertised. Easy recommend.
Best app what you can use for customizate your phone.
It closes and then cannot not found in app drawer to relaunch … not gonna open playstore every time i want to switch Orientation of the phone.
Almost perfect. Some apps, like Reddit and Etsy seem to override it, but most respond as they should. I use it to force Facebook and Kroger into landscape mode on my tablet. Not sure if it works for games, though. I really appreciate not having to watch ads, too. Highly recommended. ❤️
Decent but so often, certain games, apps would start in vertically so need to go to screen orientation app to make app horizontally again.
ATTENTION: Please go to App Permission and TURN OFF “PAUSE APP ACTIVITY IF UNUSED” so it can run smoothly in the background like when playing DBL.
good app if your mobile doesn’t automatically rotate. 👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
There is no auto rotate, rotating the screen is done manuallyu
Pretty much does what it says it’s gonna do. A few hiccups. But excellent overall
App works great but I cannot find a way to purchase to remove ads. Add this and I’ll revise my review.
Thik hai good
When you turn upside down orientation portrait reversed it has glitches when you switch between apps. Also it requires to be run constantly
works well. its free. so all good.
The best one I’ve found in a long time. I’m very happy with the service this app provides..plus easily utilized from ur task bar. U can also preset screen orientations for every application before u even open it it’ll open up that way every time. Don’t give to many 5stars but this app does everything it says, is deserving of the full 5th ⭐! Thx devs
When I purchased my new tablet, an Acer Iconia Tab P10, I noticed 3 apps were coming in sideways when I trafered them from the old tablet. AVG (an anti-virus app), Messenger, and Facebook. Emails were sent to all three, but AVG was the only one to respond, and at least, try to help! This app is simplexto use, once set up, and actually allows to to ‘pick’ the apps you want it used on! Even the ‘get started’ info was easy to follow! It solved all my orientation problems! I highly recommend it! 👍
