User Reviews for Screen Orientation Control APP
Just installed and it seems to work, although I haven’t tried it with lots of apps. It allows you to select 5 controls (from a selection of eleven) to have in a control bar (also available on a widget). Of course, I would like to have 6: one for each orientation, one for full sensor mode and one to follow device default orientation. Alternatively, the portrait and reverse portrait functions could be combined into a single toggle portrait control and the same for the two landscape functions, allowing me my 6 functions in 4 buttons. The 5 other options available in the app are ‘sensor port'[rait] (i.e. will switch automatically between just the two portrait orientations), ‘sensor land'[scape], ‘lie left’, ‘lie right’ and ‘headstand’. I think the last three are to control orientation when the phone is lying flat. If you think the control bar looks ugly, you can adjust background and icon colour for both the active control and the inactive controls. This affects both the in-app control bar and the widget. There are ads but, as far as I can see, they are only in-app and once it is configured, the widget should suffice. I would like options for the app to activate automatically when headphones or charger are plugged in, as that is when I am most likely to want the reverse portrait mode. Also, as my homescreen does not do well in landscape, an option to leave the homescreen alone might be useful. If these are implemented, if I get my 6th function on the bar and if the app remains stable, then it would get 5 stars from me.

exactly what i need 👍
Settings for each app is what i was looking for, and this app has all i need
Thanks for giving UPDATED rotation control app switching with the settings app.
very good ,thanks
work as described
Why do i have to manually put it on each time i restart my phone?
Verry nice interface, useful app but: it introduces lag when changing orientation, and does not handle camera exception correctly on both Note 8 and Lg G8x
So far so good for me. Your lock screen will still be in portrait and it’ll look a bit awkward for a moment everytime you return to the home screen from an app but other than that it seems to be working pretty good.
works quite well butmaybe Iam not using it correctly as l dont seem to retain settings on the app that I use most often so the less one star might be my own error
In comparison to other screen rotation apps which I have installed in the past, this one functions much better. In the past I used other apps where you turn off the screen and when you reopen them, the predetermined schedule will show automatically (which is really annoying). With the specific app, you can choose whatever app can function in whichever way you prefer.
nice app, very useful and the widget is great 👍
Experimental feature crashes without permission. Not really handy for what i need
This app is perfect! It allows me to click a convenient button in the notification bar without relying on Gyro Sensor to rotate, and it can override other apps’ defaults, so they dont rotate unexpectedly. The design is easy to read and no intrusive ads or designs, and runs in the background, with the notification bar, and many other things, being a setting. Another way to take some control of your android that Samsung doesnt give you!
Awesome 👌
This app is an absolute life saver. I have recently defected from Apple to Android, BUT the Mumsnet app only works in portrait on Android. Screen Orientation control allows me to FORCE Mumsnet to work the other way round too. Been using for several months now with no problems thank you!!
Works perfectly. I have one app that, for whatever reason, starts in landscape on this tablet. The correct perspective is letter and this app ensures that perspective. Even though the only time you see ads are when you go into the app, I’d like to have the option to pay for an ad-free version.
Would be nice if it would stay active. Touching nothing it bails about every 3 days. I guess for free it’s ok.
Best screen rotation app
Control keeps stopping cannot control it to rotate
Nice one , it helped a lot in tests and PDFs
