Aaaaaaaaaaaah finally!!!!!!!! Found one without a billion popups or ads at all! Just the app itself is an ad for Trend Micro, but it’s a great app. So brilliant ad guys and thank you! Only downside I’ve noticed is that i couldn’t seem to copy a weblink after scanning the qr code for it, but you get 5 stars from me anyway! It’s a minor niggle and the app saves the weblink and whether it’s safe or not. So thank you again! Was doing my head in all those awful ad spam ones, saved by trend micro! XXX

    It’s not finding issues with QR codes embedded in spam emails which are likely dodgey redirects. Not flagging them increases likelihood that recipient will open the encoded URLs…

    Scanning bar codes is back! Have been saving and using this QR scanner’s version 1.0 for the longest time but have updated to version 1.1.0 (Oct 14 release) since they brought back the original feature of also being able to scan barcodes.

    Finally a good one! Thanks! No ads, no unnecessary permissions, fast and robust scanning, and a Send action for the scanned code (in addition to Lookup). Just what I needed, but failed to find earlier. (Only cosmetic issue is the screen layout: the “Search (something undecipherable)” button gets clipped with the large font I use.)

    History dustbin function cannot delete a selected item. A new History sort feature, by name or by time, would be good.

    Only used it once so far, but seems good. Does the job and quickly. Note that it also checks if a site is ‘safe’ or not, ie sends some data back to base. I trust Trend so have no issues with this but others may dislike it.
