"ChatterBaby" is a tool that analyzes your baby's cries by comparing them to a database of approximately 1,500 sounds. The algorithm assumes the baby is crying due to hunger, fussiness, or pain, and it correctly identifies approximately 85% of pain cries and around 90% of all cries. However, it is not suitable for cries resulting from separation anxiety or other reasons. The more the background noise is removed, the better the algorithm performs. The data is stored securely and anonymously for scientific research, specifically to explore whether unusual vocalization patterns in inaficionadots could predict developmental delays. "ChatterBaby" is not a medical device, and it has no warranty. Remote monitoring is yet to be determined. Trusting one's intuition and common sense is always recommended over relying on the algorithm.
