User Reviews for OctoApp for OctoPrint APP

This app is fantastic. I like to be able to pop in and check on my print without having to go to the Octoprint panel in a browser. There are a couple of things that I’d love to see, and I’ll start working on hacking the Google Play Store to allow me to leave a 6 star review if you can put them in: 1. I’d love to see an equivalent to the GCode tab in the app so I can look at the print layer by layer and maybe even follow in real-time. 2. I’d love to be able to pinch to zoom on the camera feed.

OctoApp is build with Android in mind and is completely optimized for being used on your phone. Of course OctoApp also supports Wear OS!

The app supports OctoPrint, Klipper (Moonraker, Fluidd, Mainsail), Bambu Lab and Elegoo Centauri.

The UI is structured into three workspaces: Connect, Prepare, Print. The Connect workspace helps you get your printer connected to OctoPrint and as soon as a printer is available OctoApp will move to the Prepare workspace. Here you can get ready for your next print!

One of the smoothest Android apps I have ever used, period! Seriously, if you use OctoPrint you need to try this, it’s the perfect app to monitor and control your printer! It even integrates control of Octolapse, CancelObjects, PrintTimeGenius, and many more essential plugins. Not to mention, it’s free. Many thanks to the developer, I’m blown away!!

nice picture, are u living in Amsterdam? the app has got a clean, tidy very relaxt interface with a usefull darkmodus. Would be nice if there would be support for manual bedleveling, but that’s maybe a bit difficult I can immagine. Can the yearly reminder a bit more than just 2 days? allard

Too bad I can’t access my printer off my network, otherwise it would is been a 5 star review. *** Let me revise that, must of been a typo, I can only access my printer off my network but can’t access it outside of it.***

Decent app, but needs some changes. 1) An actual settings page that HAS settings for the app. For starters, let me change the printer settings that I’m connected too. The only way I’ve found to remove a printer is turn on Airplane mode so auto connect doesn’t work, and then you can remove it l. 2) The auto connection setting doesn’t actually do anything. Turn it off, still auto connects to the printer. 3) If you lose connecting to a printer, good luck, app just locks up, even if you reinstall

The app works great for interfacing with OctoPrint and the UI is very pleasing to look at. It has pretty much all the controls you need to use and monitor your 3D printer from any Android phone or tablet. I use it with an old Samsung tablet as a big, fancy touchscreen to control the 3D printer and works better than many much more expensive options. It only took me a few days to decide to upgrade to a Lifetime Sub and has been worth every penny. Thanks for this app and keep up the great work!

Need a way to skip the onboarding process. I can’t get into the app to buy the support package on my second device without setting up the printer etc. I use carrier billing.

Great app for monitoring your prints from another room. Has advanced features that require a subscription. If there was a one-time purchase I’d be more than willing to pay.

Great app, thanks for creating and sharing! And an even bigger thanks for not polluting it with advertisements! 🙂 I was looking for something to keep an eye on the 3D printer while I am out and around the house. The other features are a wonderful bonus. (I would be just nitpicking to say that the only drawback is that the full screen webcam view doesn’t support landscape. It would be even more awesome if it could do that!) Keep up the good work!

App works pretty well, but I have a feature request. Would it be possible to rotate the stream without having to mess octopi’s setting?

I wanted to love this app but for some reason it causes klippy to disconnect and my printer to just stop. This doesn’t happen when I use mobileraker or creality print app. Am I doing something wrong?

Basic functionality only. No print queue, and this thing can’t even remember the folder I’m printing from. So when choosing a file to print you always start from root, then go back to the folder you need. UI settings reset randomly, e. g. I have to remove the camera block from UI once in a while because it reappears.

Best UI for an octoprint app I’ve tried. Feature request: please add a widget! Having a widget to view the livestream and send some basic commands would be so handy

I need a little more time with the app. This is only the second time I’ve used it, and I’m already prompted for a review.

Nice looking but the subscription is a rip off. And a very high price to buy. Especially as you just open a web page to view it pmsl😂 Octodash pluggin is free on octoprint and does practically the same. Dev should be ashamed of himself for asking money for this. Absolute disgrace!!!! Wow!! Ps I didn’t say it just opens a web page! I said it does exactly the same as opening the web page. And if you programmed it correctly, then users wouldn’t need support

Easy to get and install. The best part is I don’t have to babysit the printer while it’s printing. Can watch from anywhere.
