While the details of the map itself and the real-time subway/bus information warrant 5 stars, the search engine optimization is awful for the English language version of this app in my specific use case. This review is primarily for the English language version, although no matter if I write a location in English or hangul (the Korean alphabet), I keep receiving the “No results” display, even when choosing from Naver’s own list of auto-complete options! Furthermore, because phonetization of Korean into English letters can be spelled in various ways, it’s difficult to search for a specific place if you’re typing in English, which is probably the most common use-case for foreign visitors who are not familiar with hangul. Naver needs to improve their algorithm to allow for variances in the English spelling of Korean place-names. The only way I can get directions for a specific location is if I tap on the location on the map, but that presumes I already know the general location of the place I’m looking for. Without a much better search engine for English users, this app only rates a 2 out of 5 for me.

It’s a good app but it needs to be translated to English so that we can use it properly
Some are just stupid they keep on installing this even tho they dont know the korean language. I enjoy this tho because I can understand korean

It’s a good app. Easy to use and has a very good UI but whenever I sign up to make my account, it always say that signing up is limited or temporarily available even though I’ve put correct informations and was able to get a verification code. I hope this will be solve as I really want to make a Naver Account. Thank you!

This is a nice app… if you need translation just click the bird sign and you will see two things, the 영어 (English) and 한국어 (Korean) the translation may be wrong but you can use it

Naver does so many great things and has so many great tools where English is available, but it’s biggest search engine and app can’t be compatible?

really good and very quick. and for everyone bitching about how its in korean and not english.. its a korean app, made by a korean company for korean people. stop whining and learn korean if you want to use it that badly. korean isnt that difficult to learn either
it is a good app but i want to create a new acc but i couldn’t log in using facebook, the sign in page not even showing up it’s always showing “connection time out”. please kindly fix this issue. thank you.
