"Caustic 3" is a mobile music creation app that takes inspiration from rack-mount synthesizers and samplers. It allows users to create their own custom racks by choosing up to 14 machines from a variety of options, including virtual analog subtractive synthesizers, drum machines, and vocoders. The app also features an effects rack with 20 effect types, a mixer desk, and a song sequencer. Users can connect class-compliant USB MIDI controllers and store their own WAV files for use in the app. While the demo version of the app is free, the full version can be unlocked by purchasing the Caustic Unlock Key. The app is designed to be user-friendly and includes tutorial videos and a full online manual. Permissions include recording audio and read/write storage access.
