WSOC-TV Channel 9 has released an improved version of its weather app, “The "WSOC-TV Weather" App,” developed by Chief Meteorologist Steve Udelson and Severe Weather Center 9 meteorologists. The app provides more accurate local weather forecasts and includes features such as a new radar with future radar and 250-meter resolution, storm and earthquake tracks, locally crafted forecasts, free push alerts for over 25 alert types, easy access to all features on one tab, the ability to precisely place a location pin, and identical features on both tablet and handset. The app also offers critical benefits such as radar zooming to your neighborhood, location-based alerts, high-resolution satellite cloud imagery, and GPS location awareness. This app is only available for the United States.
