KOAA-TV has launched an Android weather app that provides mobile users with exclusive access to station content. The app features a 250-meter radar, high-resolution satellite cloud imagery, and future radar capabilities to track severe weather. It also provides current weather updates multiple times an hour, along with daily and hourly forecasts from computer models. Additionally, the app has a fully integrated GPS for current location awareness, the ability to add and save favorite locations, and severe weather alerts from the National Weather Service. Users can also opt-in to receive push alerts for severe weather to stay safe.
