Ok so, I just spent the last 3 days researching and testing 15 document scanner apps… Besides the usual, my top feature requirements were 1) ability to upload to cloud, print and/or save to device 2) robust color editing features 3) batch scanning and multi pg docs and lastly 4) no upload restrictions or required subscription – 1 time pay only… I have a pretty old phone, so some (4) were automatically eliminated due to freezing. To test, I used the same colored, carbon document that had a mix of type and faded handwriting. I used same lighting conditions and device. Well, Doc Scanner beat them all. Only 1 other app came in as a close 2nd (initials are FS). However, beyond less features, the ads were more invasive and their Pro version cost $3 more than this app. I’m going to enjoy DS’s highlighting feature – something I hadn’t thought of needing until I actually used it. The only con I can find is it takes a bit to get acquainted with all the features. This app is great for Attorneys, students and other document gatherers. I purchased within 1 hr of using it, but the Free version should be more than enough for most. Hope my review helps!

    This is the best scanning app I have ever used. The editing features are awesome. As a student I need to scan my notes to send to the teacher and this app has been very helpful. Much better from cam scanner. It has all the features that we may require for free. And it’s easy to use. The thing that I like very much is it is not having the ads that are so annoying. Proud to say that its an Indian application and I am impressed 👌🏻👏🏻 Must install, won’t find any better app.👍🏻

    The app is best alternative for scanning of documents. But,coming to size reduction of images is terrible and for sharing files from scanner the file size is more. I’m requesting to you can you modify in file size reduction. If you not modify this customers can disappointed and they can search for other alternatives. All the best to the team.

    It’s really very useful app. For compressing and to make jpeg as pdf. So many features. I am using this app for nearly about 6 years.

    Very Nice. Was looking for a CamScanner replacement. Out of about 20 apps, this one comes the closest to matching it’s features. This has a few pleasant surprises of it’s own too. Such as better control of how and where you want to save files. How to stay pleasantly surprised. Needs dark theme. Don’t like how it names documents. Would like to name at time of scan, instead of later. Would like continue scans in a document to follow that naming convention followed by a number.

    It works good but I thought I could also use it as a PDF reader. and it just disappointed me. So, I had to delete it.

    The best document Scanner compared to any other. I have been using it for 2 years a nice experience of high compression while sending pdf files. Please add another option too to store and save pdfs in sd card I would be very grateful.

    Great alternative of CamScanner. I know that CamScanner is a Chinese app so I deleted it before the COVID 19 starts. I was converting files to PDF by complicated methods and suddenly my school introduced an app called Document scanner. This app is better than CamScanner. Everyone should download this app if they have any problems in converting the files to PDF. Each and every feature in this app is for free. Thank you all.

    This app has been working very well before. But the scan quality is too bad these days. I import the photos the app is supposed to convert to a PDF. The photos look fine, but the quality gets greatly reduced after being converted to a PDF (even though I select the original colour option). This is bad.. Earlier it was working just fine. Now it’s not. We should be given an option to avoid compression on our PDFs. Update:The quality is better now as there’s an “ultra high quality” option.Thank you!

    I have been a user for couple years now. The app worked great and was very handy. However, the app is non functional for pixel users and a fix still hasn’t been made available. Many users have reported this issue and the fix is still unknown. The problem is that the files don’t get saved post any edit. The app development team should focus on this bug and deploy a fix already. Otherwise, dedicated users will be forced to move to other options

    Great alternative to camscanner. Camscanner’s premium features can be used for free here. Thank you! Although, there is one important feature I found to be missing. If that could be added it would be really helpful. That is, after the whole document is scanned, there is no option to replace a slightly off page with another fresh one in the editing phase. Hope you will look into this.
