User Reviews for Compress Image – MB to KB APP

RESPONSE: While I am sure you should know about the Ads, my initial experience is valid. There were no ads for the first couple of months, I assailed by ads before and after processing. UPDATE: This was an efficient, worthwhile app to use but in recent weeks it has become muddied with intrusive and annoying ads. While still useful, it is now aesthetically ugly. INITIAL: An amazingly useful app which has produced good quality back up copies of files and reduced storage requirements dramatically.

App could only locate pics. When I needed it to compress videos. According to this app, there are no video files anywhere on my phone. Therefore I could not select or compress videos. uninstalled immediately.

the compression options is great and i really like how it could keep the metadata. but my main issue is keeping the original file extensions or have an option to export it to any extension you wanted (like keeping .webp extension or convert it to .jpg for example). i have to manually change every single extension back cause some program / apps uses certain extension for it to be loaded / detected. and last thing is the custom file output location. because everything is mixed into 1 folder.

To much ads. I mean, you have to check video for every image you compress. I don’t think that, as author say, ads help keep the app free. This app most likely use bitmap compress which is a built in feature of android without any cost. In fact, the whole point of pushin app to store is to generate some money and it totally perfect. The biggest issue happens when you had to watch more ads, than using the app itself.

I downloaded this app to compress overly large photos in Google Photos. It was a terrific first-few-uses until suddenly the app couldn’t access the Google Photos app. It still allows access to Google Drive but none of my photos are stored there.

Great little app to shrink down HD megapixel images from Mb to kb size for email, doc images, etc. where HD images is massive overkill unnecessarily inflates document file size by orders of magnitude. The only weak point that I have found is that I don’t seem to have the option of selecting where compressed images are saved. Generally, photos by default are saved in DCIM (typically subfolder Camera) ~ in my case, on SD card. But default for this app is internal Pictures / Compress Image.

The best thing about this app is its various options to have an output with a designated file size with a pre-image for our reference, while keeping a not-too-bad quality even at a very small size. Many other similar apps do not offer so many options. Highly recommended.
