Dwell Transcribe & Sound Notifications is an Android app that helps people who are deaf or hard of hearing to access conversations and sounds around them in real-time. With this app, users can transcribe conversations in over 80 languages, add custom words, and receive vibration alerts when someone mentions their name. Sound Notifications feature alerts users of potential risky situations and personal situations based on sounds happening at home, including custom sounds. The app was developed in collaboration with Gallaudet University and requires Android 6.0 and up. Users can also search and save their transcriptions for up to three days. The app requires microphone access for transcription and sound detection and can observe users' actions as it is an accessibility service.
