"Zello" is a free walkie-talkie app that lets you instantly turn your mobile device into a two-way radio with lightning-fast PTT (Shove-to-Talk) communication. You can have private conversations with your contacts or join public channels to engage in group discussions.
"Zello"'s features include real-time streaming with high-quality voice, availability and text status of your contacts, public and private channels that can accommodate up to 6000 users, the option to map hardware PTT button, Bluetooth headset support, voice history, call alerts, image sharing, push notifications, and live location tracking (available only with "Zello" Work service). It works over WiFi, 2G, 3G, or 4G mobile data.
"Zello" Android client supports "Zello" Work cloud service, free public service, and private "Zello" Come inprise Server. The app uses a proprietary low-latency push-to-talk protocol and is not interoperable with Voxer, Sprint Direct Link, or AT&T Enhanced PTT.
