Paid for this app to get a general idea on coin values from an inherited collection. This app identifies coins quickly and accurately as long as the picture is clear. I also appreciate the detailed information and the fact that I can add to collections to help sort them and keep a record. You can also export logs which I found very useful for cataloging. After trying several, this one is the best.

I had trouble with the app seeming to freeze up, but I tried customer supports idea and it worked!! I love this app and have had it a long time…I still have hundreds of coins to go thru’ so I’ll be using this app as long as I can….oh yeah, simple device reset…

I am impressed with all the coin info that’s available. It’s very easy to use, and navigation is a breeze. I do question the magnification of pictures. The information at the Google Play Store said it identifies errors. The photo-taking screen does not appear to show detail well enough to do this at 1.2X. Maybe the app further magnifies images once they are received? I would give it a rating of 5 if it weren’t for this concern. Also, it would be nice to have a text box to enter brief comments.

I’ve only used this for a few days. The app is great for identifying world coins. A few features I wish it had, 1. It would be nice to sort the coins in your collection by alphabetical order as it would be much more efficient to scan your collection to see coins from a specific country. 2. A setting to turn on/off that would allow you to automatically add identified coins to your collection. 3. More subscription options, like weekly or monthly. Otherwise, I am very pleased so far.

7-day Free Trial period. After the Trial period, MRC initiates @$40/yr. It would be nice if the app its features were free. Income could be earned by all interested valid parties via a commission structure. *** Uhmm, definitely not true, the App forces the user to accept the Trial version and says make payment at the end of the 7 day trial. Nowhere does it make the user aware of anything closely relative to the app being free. ***

The search feature has gotten worse with these recent updates. Before, the huge re-design I could type Merc 31 and it would bring up every single 1931 mercury dime I have. With these updates, I have to type Mercury Dime-1931. The search feature was more user-friendly before the updates. It also takes allot longer to load than it used to.

I wish it would tell you what the same coin you take a picture of what the price would be for all other ratings of that coin so you could see what the price would be if it was in ment condition. other than that, the app is really good. I probably won’t by the upgraded version just because I wouldn’t be using it often and isn’t worth that $4-5 a month to me. I could see how it would be if you have a huge interest or hobby in coins or if your buying and selling coins for money

While I only plan to use during the trial period to catalog coins I inherited and plan to sell or just spend, it seems easy to use. A few enhancements would get that fifth star. First, the ability to tag multiple entries an add them to a custom collection (e.g., USA Pennies, USA Nickels, etc.) Second, to be able to sort by value. And lastly, to filter to only show coins not assigned to a custom collection.

Info it “finds” or puts together for ya is top notch… I have tried 5 apps now that claim to do coin identification upon use of picture taking, including this one as the fifth. This app hands down impressed me and the other 4 were terrible I 100% truth…. I do have one concern and that is why only 4**** rating from me. The camera system or process still even in this app needs work. Any device that isn’t beat down or 5yr+ old should have no problem getting a focused, clear, legiblebpictures….

Do not even consider another coin app!! Coin snap is far and above the rest. I’ve been using it for about 4 months now, and it’s truly amazing how accurate it is. Thanks, coin snap developers! Much Respect.

I got a few complaints. I am still trying to find the way they price and ask you if you want to sell. I have yet to find it I paid $42.39 for coin in on 7/5/2025 and then the took out $42.39 on 7/4/2025 for coin snap which I didn’t order. I’m trying to get at least one of those payments refunded to me. I didn’t order 2. I want what I saw in their original ad for selling the coins. If I can’t get what I seen on your advertisement, I would like a full refund. Maybe I did something wrong
