I mean, it’s a calculator. Does basic operations well enough, but sometimes you have to be extra careful and incredibly literal with your syntax if you want to get the result you’re looking for. Other than that, it’s got a great feel and is very stable given that it’s a Samsung default app. However, I just wish there was either an app extension type thing or extra modes with more scientific calculator stuffs. I often need to do longer calculations and opening Desmos on Chrome can take a bit.

A very good calculator I have used for years. The install will not update for some time now, just keeps pending. I have Uninstalled, installed, clean the cache, still keeps pending. This is why I gave it ⭐⭐⭐⭐.
While found the unit converter very useful and practical, there was one problem. I gave 3 stars because I can’t adjust how many remainder placeholder units are displayed. It’s inconvenient as the results are ALWAYS displayed out to 8 units. For a 5 star review – In the next update, include an optional setting that allows the adjustment of placeholder units anywhere from 2 units to 8 (ie; 0.00 to 0.00000000).
I love this calculator, but whoever decided to change the numbers to white on a white background needs to be fired into the sun. It’s not impossible to see them, but incredibly difficult and hasn’t been fixed for quite some time. Other than that, the history button and unit converter makes this a must have. Plus, it has a log button, which some calculators don’t have for whatever reason. Edit: The colors on the calculator are a theme issue, not the app itself.
I can do math easier.
Been loving using this app since forever but ever since the new UI update, the cursor has been appearing with a zero after it on startup which makes immediately typing in values an issue as there’s now always an out of place zero unless you specifically delete it. Edit: As claimed by another reviewer, uninstalling and reinstalling the app immediately fixed the issue.
It’s a good calculator app, but I’m giving it a 4 star rating because it does not have a currency converter tool , I had to install a different calculator app because of that. I hope Samsung adds more features such as a currency converter soon.

Great app, love the conversions….but I agree about the sound…why?? The first thing I do with every phone is silence the keys and all taps, even the shutter sound on the camera…..but here I have no silencing option. I do find this moderately problematic. Like nails on a chalkboard kinda stuff…..I know, seems extreme. We all have our quirks, right??
This is really nice app from Samsung. But as a suggestion, just add currency converter along with the rest of the converters in the app. Also, instead of having it like one of the apps in app screen, it can be like an option in the notification panel like a screen recorder or auto rotation which is still an app in software but just, less number of apps on app screen.

Great application. It remembers my calculations for recall that one has equaled. It has full scientific function. I like the idea of multiple calculations in one string, thus saves time. One has the ability to make adjustments within the string at anytime. Review by Protonumus [YouTube]
Would be nice if it didn’t clear everything out when you start typing or have a 1/x option. You can’t use it for math with more than a few numbers cause If you try to type in front of the answer it completely clears it. If you add either one of those functions it would be more useful for me.

Samsung should make this app as powerful as a scientific calculator. There should be a switch to change from simple and scientific one.
Functional calculator app? Absolutely. But I feel like Samsung could add more quality of life options like settings, a guide or FAQ page, or even customization. Something I would LOVE to see is a tip calculator and tab splitter based on the number of people. Hope to see more improvements in the future!
Latest version has a bug in the works. You go to subtract a number from another number…works fine, but then if you put a series of numbers in brackets using subtraction the act of adding the first bracket makes the calculator add not subtract. This works in reverse for addition. Otherwise it’s been a fabulous application, used it for years without a hassle. Please fix this issue ASAP as it fundamentally undermines an otherwise great calculator that is present in all samsung android phones.

Been using this as my primary simple calculator for two years. It works great. Engineering functions are simple and effective for any right angle trig problems. Would not recommend for your only calculator if trying to figure the declination of the moon in real time, yet it is quite good in the field to keep your estimations accurate. I use it daily. Therefore it is quite stable and trustworthy. Only difficulty is too long operation string errors and that is probably me with fat fingers.
