After looking at every authenticator I have found Bitwarden Authenticator to be the best, security is either by password or biometrics.Easy syncing between my phone tablet. I also use Bitwarden Password manager and feel confident that my login details ,along with my authenticator details are secure. I would recommend Bitwarden to everybody. If I could suggest an improvement I would suggest being able to rearange accounts into your preferred order, I think that is the only improvement needed.

    SORRY FOR THIS HOT TAKE BUT Bitwarden’s new standalone authenticator app feels unnecessary. It lacks import functionality and relies solely on device storage, replicating features already built into their password manager (which also offers cloud backup!). With stronger options like Aegis already existing, this feels like wasted effort. Focus on bringing passkeys to all platforms, Bitwarden!

    BW was highly recommended by a close friend whose a computer analyst. Using his insights I immediately downloaded BW Free Ap and began my exploration. I am happy with my experiences so far. Thanks Bitwarden.

    Combined with Bitwarden Password Manager, the app does what it should do. In comparison with Aegis, there are 2 main features missing, custom icons and groups.

    Decent app, but it really needs a few improvements. First of all, I think the account names should sync with the username/title you have set for the account on Bitwarden, because some of my accounts have their old usernames in the authenticator app’s list because I set up 2fa for those accounts before changing the usernames. Second, I wish the app felt less like a website and was made a bit better.

    I always saw bit warden as open source, protect your data , end to end encrypted advocate. My data is backed up to Google daddy with no way of turning it off or changing target, we’ll I am out. Got a message back saying it’s encrypted. What is your key that you encrypt with, I didn’t type a password, so you are using Google provided Auth, the Auth they have access to, is this bit warden?

    I just started using the app. I like the “simple” look. I’m using Microsoft authenticator for my work and the thing I like about that is it has cloud backup (I’m not saying it’s better but I feel more assured). The other thing I like is the rearranging of the accounts. The look of Bitwarden is better though. I also use your password manager for both my job and private, if you can add the options I mentioned I would be happy to switch to Bitwarden authenticator.

    Fantastic App, You can generate codes, save or back them up to your Vault with Bitwarden Password Manager. Very easy to use. I wish this would have been built into Bitwarden Password Manager.
