User Reviews for Bitwarden Authenticator APP
After looking at every authenticator I have found Bitwarden Authenticator to be the best, security is either by password or biometrics.Easy syncing between my phone tablet. I also use Bitwarden Password manager and feel confident that my login details ,along with my authenticator details are secure. I would recommend Bitwarden to everybody. If I could suggest an improvement I would suggest being able to rearange accounts into your preferred order, I think that is the only improvement needed.

I am a long time paid user of bitwarden, I like this app, clean, simple, easy to use, I would like it to have a cloud sync option as well as a backup and phone backup option.
Backup option should be added.
Functional but very minimal. Aesthetically, I’d suggest that the generated codes be increased in font size to have them stand out a little more than everything else on the same line. Maybe also slightly decreasing the size of other content. Can’t quite put my finger on it – the presentation of the data just looks flat. Still, quite happy with the functionality and looking forward to a more robust tool as development continues.
I like this app; clean, easy to use, and straightforward. However I recently moved away from biometrics on my phone back to just using a PIN for security, and it appears that the app doesn’t support using a PIN to unlock. When I had face and fingerprint unlock set before, it would prompt for those methods when I opened the app. now that they’re removed, the app just opens without asking for a PIN. It’s a bit of a bummer as I like that extra step for security.
I really like the app. The design is clean and straightforward. The app works well. There are still things i miss though: 1. Being able to reorder items and sort them into folders 2. Clearer way to backup and recover data on different device
I wish the backup for the account that you have setup was more user friendly and allowed you to have it linked to an email account just like bitwarden is. Like you are making it more difficult.
Very smooth and fast, but basic one as of now, hoping to get more features like import tokens from other Apps, encrypted export, cloud backup, backup in BW account, share via QR, show next token when current is about to expire, also probably separate desktop app for tokens etc. Thanks!
As someone who is fairly mindful of security, I thoroughly trust this app for my password and other information. Safe keeping. There was a small learning curve when I first started using it but after that it is the only one I use. I gave up enpass for this one.
Nice app, maybe put the authenticator into the password manager?(just an idea)
I was hoping to be able to use my Bitwarden account to login and then have all the 2FA codes from my Bitwarden Vault in here, but nope. The app also doesn’t offer the “Allow screen capture” option like the regular Bitwarden app does, so it can not be used with Samsung Dex, showing just a black box on the desktop. Frankly, I don’t really see what this app has to offer that “Verification codes” menu in the regular app doesn’t do already.
If the app is in the background and we try to open the app, then it doesn’t ask for biometric. please fix this issue.
Best Authentication service. 100% recommend. It’s free and trusted!
It’s good, also trustworthy as it’s from Bitwarden, only missing feature is account restoration in case of device change Edit : backup has been added but could there be an option to manually trigger it within the app? Or link it to the bitwarden account?
App is great however there is a flaw in the GUI. The Add/+ button covers up the codes on the bottom right on my S23. Maybe relocate the button to the bottom tool bar. That, and make them sortable (A-Z).
All over useful in addition to the bitwarden pw manager But if you search for a specific code you are not able to see the code only copy it -> which is annoying if you have to entere de code on a device which is not the mobile you are looking at.
Works ok, but I couldn’t find how to lock it. I even left it for a while, and it didn’t auto lock. With Aegis it’s blatantly obvious how to lock it, but this simply wouldn’t. Defeats the object if having it, so I uninstalled it.
Very helpful app. Please add encrypted backup option, and storing the vault locally and encrypted.
Standard 2-factor authentication app. Really bad at scanning/recognising QR codes though.
This is the best authenticator app on play store
I self host bit warden so your mileage may vary if you have to pay them directly, but I don’t pay anything and this is the best authentication / password manager that I have ever used. Last pass doesn’t even hold a candle to this, especially after they instigated the one device limit stuff.
