User Reviews for Android System WebView Canary APP
Until we hear a comment from Google about the notorious freezing of Webview on Android 10 devices, even just an acknowledgement that the issue exists and it’s being looked into, this gets 1 star from me. Frequent freezing on my OnePlus (about once every 5 minutes, I get 2 on average during a 10 minute video) makes this completely unusable. Hopefully this 1 star review will help to raise awareness of the issue and drives Google to comment on it. Until it is fixed I am forced to use Firefox only.

Updates: Recent two Update from this week broke/boinked all app functionality especially WebApps. Please fix it. This is also happened to be on Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra A54 etc. Banking and Communications Apps won’t “securely” authenticate, open/load or login in, immediately bounces back out the app to home page. These include HSBC, Chase, Microsoft Teams etc. It also messes up with the dimensions/pop-up and multi-window view.. For everyone else, Please be mindful whether to update or not.
This is possibly not only showing me, but helping, diagnosing and completely exposing what’s been done in terms of my identity, security, and phones Android data being stolen. This could save my life. It would be beneficial to add a note detailed description of each usable option, as well as an option for quick settings instead of just a notification.

I have been using this app for like 2 months now… Earlier I had been using the normal Android WebView. However, my apps which used the WebView suffered sudden crashes… And due to it my phone was prone to ‘automatic restarts’. I had tried almost everything to fix this irritating thing.. even I had formatted my whole system for it but no change… 1-2 days It would work fine and then the same…. the last try was to install this WebView… It works fine now.. Cons: YOU HAVE TO UPDATE FREQUEN
Whether it’s regular Web View or this Canary version, the the last three weeks I’ve been unable to play ‘Call of Duty Mobile’ without several crashes each game, costing a lot of rank points. . . I’ve also tried the Beta Developer versions to no avail… I’m using a Moto G Pure (Android 12), which normally handles the game just fine, so it’s DEFINITELY the updates you guys have going on with these apps. Please, fix this ish soon you’re ringing this game for me 💯
